A little-known unit from Detroit's late-Sixties rock and roll heyday, the Stuart Avery Assemblage was led by vocalist Avery and also included guitarist Paul Kingery, bassist Wally Stahl, keyboardist Robyn Robbins and drummer Spencer Hirsch. Although the group gained some local renown, appearing live at the famed Grande Ballroom, they apparently left behind one studio recording; other details of their existence remain scarce, although Robbins later went on to join Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band.
